Straight from the lush mountains of Yun'Nan, this tea is a true celebration of nature and tradition. Made from the large-leaf tea variety (云南大叶种).

Unlike fermented Pu'er, Raw Pu'er only undergoes light natural fermentation prior Shaqing, a critial step in chinese tea processing particularly for green tea and raw Pu'er tea (Sheng Cha). The purpose of this process is to stop the natural enzymatic oxidation of the tea leaves, preserving their fresh, vibrant flavor and aroma.

🫖 Why You’ll Love It:

  • 🌱 Natural Fermentation: Because of its minimal fermentation, unfermented Pu'er has a dark green appearance in contrast to brown red colour for fermented Pu'er, with a fresh and delicate aroma, and a slightly bitter initial taste.
  • 🌸 Fresh and Vibrant Taste: Enjoy younger Sheng tea for its bright, floral notes with a hint of astringency.
  • 🕰️ Aging Potential: With age, it becomes smoother, more bitter intial taste, followed by long lasting sweeter aftertaste, and a overall deeply satisfying experience—a treasure for collectors.
  • ♻️ Eco-Friendly: Grown organically without synthetic chemicals, ensuring purity and sustainability.

🌟 A Journey in Every Cup

Unfermented Pu'er is one of the most diverse and elegant tea type when it comes to rich layers of flavours. For the best experience, wash the tea with boiling water first before steep the leaves for 5-10 seconds and separate the tea from the water. Each infusion reveals a new taste adventure, delivering a symphony of evolving flavors.

How to Brew:

  1. Water Preparation: Heat fresh, filtered water to around 80°C (approximately 175°F). Avoid using boiling water as it can scorch the delicate leaves and result in a bitter taste.
  2. Tea Measurement: Measure out approximately 1 teaspoon of Mountain Mi'jing tea leaves per 240 ml of water. Adjust the amount according to your taste preferences.
  3. Tea Infusion: Place the measured tea leaves into a teapot or infuser. Pour the hot water over the leaves, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  4. Steeping Time: Allow the tea to steep for about 2-3 minutes. Adjust the steeping time based on your desired strength. Longer steeping times will result in a stronger flavor profile.
  5. Enjoy: Once the steeping time is complete, carefully remove the tea leaves or strain the infusion into a cup. Take a moment to appreciate the aroma before indulging in the smooth and refreshing taste of Mountain Mi'jing tea.
  6. Optional Enhancements: For a unique twist, consider adding a slice of lemon or a sprig of mint to complement the tea's natural flavours.
